RipDoctor records a vinyl side, finds the track boundaries, lets you correct them by ear, cuts the tracks, tags them and files them in your music library.

These pages are the manual. They cover what each part does and how to use it.

Doing a record

The five steps, in order. Each has a page:

Step	What happens
Rip	Record side A, flip, record side B. Or upload a file you already have.
First pass	Pick the release; the tracklist is laid across the sides and the boundaries are fitted.
Check	Audition the boundaries that disagree with the catalogue, and move them.
Cut	Write the tracks into review/.
Import	Tag them and file them in the library.
Archive	Put the raw sides away once the tracks are confirmed.

When something needs redoing

• Re-ripping a side — one side came out badly, and the record is already archived.
• Punching a track — one track has a skip; re-record just that track and swap it in.
• Cover art — fetching, uploading and embedding.
