v7.2.0
Added
- SNAP gate support. Example:
import numpy as np import piquasso as pq snap_angles = [np.pi / 2, np.pi / 7, 3 * np.pi / 2, np.pi / 5, np.pi / 4] with pq.Program() as program: pq.Q() | pq.Vacuum() pq.Q(0) | pq.Squeezing(r=0.1) | pq.SNAP(theta=snap_angles) pq.Q(1) | pq.Displacement(0.2) pq.Q(0, 1) | pq.Beamsplitter(theta=np.pi / 3, phi=np.pi / 4) simulator = pq.PureFockSimulator(d=2, config=pq.Config(cutoff=5)) state = simulator.execute(program).state
- A tutorial for "Boson Sampling as a hardware accelerator for Monte Carlo integration".
- Support for Python 3.14.
- Computing parity operator expectation values of Gaussian states via
GaussianState.get_parity_operator_expectation_value.
Fixed
- Blackbird-exported program name was space-separated, which is not accepted by
blackbirditself, so it got rewritten to be underscore-separated.
Breaking changes
- Python 3.8 (which reached its EOL in 2024) support is dropped.
New Contributors
- @mgarnier59 made their first contribution in #562
