Description
I have an Optiplex Dell desktop computer that will not boot up after installing the Windows 11 upgrade. I am getting an error that says it cannot find the boot disk and to press alt ctl del to reboot. I ended up having to turn off the machine, and then go into the bios at start up (F12) and changed the settings to match UEFI settings required by Microsoft to be able to run it. I made the changes as specified and now it can't use the legacy boot options to start up. The message says:
Start PKE Over IPv4.
PKE-E18 Server response timeout.
Start PKE over IPv6.
These two options IPv4 and IPv6 are the boot options listed. I'm trying to figure out how to have the correct bios settings for windows 11 to be able to boot up from the hard drive after this upgrade.
Diagnostics are good for the computer, I checked. Windows 11 installed just fine with the Flyby11 install. I just can't get into the machine at all now. :(
Ideas on what I should look for? What to fix? I hope the machine isn't hosed.
Thanks.
