iOdus 0.1.6
A release of iOdus: a native macOS front end for Xbox PC games, in the style of a console dashboard.
This is an early version. Expect some problems, and back up your saves.
Changes since 0.1.5
- Games no longer stop with "code 101" when their starter is small. Before a game starts, the backend makes a temporary RAM disk for the decrypted files. For a game whose encrypted file is very small, that disk was below the minimum size that macOS can format, and the backend stopped. It now has a minimum size. (#6)
- Launcher games show a note. Some Store packages are only a small starter for the publisher's own launcher, for example STEEP for Ubisoft Connect. iOdus can't run those launchers yet. The game page now says so, and Play shows the note instead of starting the starter. (#6)
- "Sign in again" when Microsoft refuses the stored sign-in. If iOdus finds an older Xbox sign-in that Microsoft no longer accepts, for example from another app that uses the Xodus backend, the start screen now offers "Sign in again" instead of only "Try again". Your installed games stay. (#5)
Thanks to @alexrest and @nollmyers148-commits for the reports.

A release of iOdus: a native macOS front end for Xbox PC games, in the style of a console dashboard.
This is an early version. Expect some problems, and back up your saves.
Changes since 0.1.4
- OpenGL games that ask for
WGL_CONTEXT_OPENGL_NO_ERROR_ARBno longer fail on the Wine 11 runtime. Wine's Mac driver refused the attribute as unknown. (#4) - Grim Fandango Remastered: iOdus also asks Wine for a forward-compatible OpenGL context for this game, because macOS has only forward-compatible core contexts. (#4)
- Wine 11 runtime release 5 with the fix above. Settings > Runtimes shows it as an update for "CrossOver 26.3 Wine" and for the D3DMetal 4 beta runtime. Your prefixes and saves stay.
Thanks to @killam42 for the detailed report and the logs.

A release of iOdus: a native macOS front end for Xbox PC games, in the style of a console dashboard.
This is an early version. Expect some problems, and back up your saves.
Changes since 0.1.2
- Forza Horizon 6 runs (Microsoft Store version) on macOS 27 with the new D3DMetal 4 beta runtime. It starts, loads into the world, and saves.
- D3DMetal 4 beta runtime: Settings > Runtimes > Game runtime > "CrossOver 26.3 Wine + D3DMetal 4 (beta)". It is offered on macOS 27 or later. Forza Horizon 6 uses it automatically when it is installed, and its game page tells you when it is missing.
- Wine 11 runtime release 4: new Wine patches for Forza Horizon 6. If you have the Wine 11 runtime, Settings shows an update.
- Settings: the Game runtime row now says "Manage", and lists the downloads and updates that are available.
- iOdus now writes a Gaming Services version into each Wine prefix, and can put a PlayFab save adapter in front of a game's own save library. Both are needed by Forza Horizon 6 and can help other Xbox PC games.
Known: other projects report short freezes about every 1.3 seconds in Forza Horizon 6, from the game's copy protection under Rosetta.
If you have 0.1.2: install this update from Settings > Updates. If you have 0.1.0 or 0.1.1, install it from this page.

This is an early version. Expect some problems, and back up your saves.
Changes since 0.1.1
- Updates install from inside the app. Settings has a new Updates category. When a new version is available, select Install: iOdus downloads it, checks it, replaces itself, and restarts. Before it changes anything, iOdus checks:
- the checksum of the download against this release on GitHub;
- the signature: the same Developer ID team as the app that you have;
- the notarization by Apple.
- The update notification opens Settings > Updates. The Updates category also has a link to the release notes on GitHub.
- The System category of Settings is now About.
If you have 0.1.0 or 0.1.1: install this version once from this page. From 0.1.2 on, later versions install from inside iOdus.

The app and the disk image are signed with a Developer ID and notarized by Apple.
