Configurator can not connect after updating to chrome 33

After chrome has automatically updated to version 33, the configurator stopped working. The port selection box is empty, it can not connect to the teensy.

The chrome.serial api has changed. I've no idea about java script, but I've "repaired" the configurator in my fork of the project.
