Unfortunately percent upload isn’t currently available since upload chunks are measured on the API side of things and not displayed back to us. I’ll update if I get it working in the future!

Right now, it's not keeping my login in Windows. If I close the app, I have to login again into Telegram

Hi, i was first time use. i think this app is really really useful. thanks for that.
but, does you have a feature of select a multiple files? i was want to delete a multiple file for once time. i didn't see this feature in app.

To delete multiple files, hold Command (macOS) or Ctrl (Windows) while selecting each file, then click Delete at the top of the application.

Currently, you can only fast-forward through a video by clicking along the video’s timeline. I may add improved playback controls in a future update.

Hi,
I would like to have the feature available to at least chose myself to stay logged in in the Telegram Drive app. It is quite annoying to have to always go through a 4 step Authentication process every time I open the app.

Would be great to implement, at least give the user the choice. You posted it is for securty reasons, but in real life scenario it gets really annoying very fast. I dont have my machine running 24/7 to be able to keep the app open 24/7 as wall. And If I restart my machine 20-30x per day, that would mean going through authentication 20-30x. Which would make this app completely unusable in real life scenario.

Unfortunately, this is not possible. The app must verify the login through Telegram's API before the service can be accessed.

Hello @MKud34 ! Other users in Russia have successfully configured the application. We recommend using a VPN-compatible version of Telegram and testing alternate configurations to receive the verification text. Please note that this issue may be related to your specific network provider.

The security breach you experienced is unrelated to this application. The source code is fully transparent and contains no malicious software or backdoors.
The compromise is likely the result of a preexisting malware infection on your machine. I strongly advise performing a clean installation of your operating system to secure your device. I would like to kindly request a feature addition: support for connecting to the internet via a proxy. This would be extremely helpful for users who need to route their traffic through a proxy server due to network restrictions or privacy concerns.

Currently, the channel functionality operates similarly to a standard folder structure. Due to this design, creating a nested channel (a channel within another channel) is not supported at this time.

For the time being, the most effective workaround for grouping multiple files is to utilize .zip archives. I am also pleased to share that we are planning to implement a built-in zip archive viewer directly within the application in a future update, which will make managing and viewing these grouped files much more seamless.

My mind was blown when I saw that there are some videos and articles that discuss the same idea as far as 4 years back but then i also saw some comments saying that their account was banned. Telegram advertises "free unlimited cloud storage," and our application leverages their official end-user API to access this feature. To prevent server strain and minimize the risk of account throttling or bans, we have implemented default usage thresholds. While these limits can be disabled, doing so may trigger Telegram's anti-abuse protocols and result in account penalties.

While we would like to release an iOS app in the future, there are currently no immediate plans to do so. The recurring fees for the Apple Developer Program are unfortunately cost-prohibitive for an open-source project of this nature. However, we hope to revisit this as resources allow.

Hi there! Thanks for trying out the app and for the feedback regarding upload speeds.

It is actually quite common for the official Telegram app to achieve higher raw upload speeds than third-party clients. This is because the official app uses proprietary C++ code that Telegram has spent years fine-tuning, specifically utilizing multi-threaded parallel uploads across multiple connections simultaneously (which many third-party libraries do not do as aggressively out-of-the-box).

However, there are a few things on your end that might be bottlenecking the upload speed in this app. Please try the following steps to identify and fix the problem:

1. Mobile Network vs. Home ISP (Apples to Oranges)
   If you are comparing the upload speed of the official Telegram app on your phone to this program on your PC, keep in mind that you are likely testing on two completely different networks. Phones often use 5G/4G cellular data (which can have surprisingly fast burst upload speeds) or seamlessly switch to less congested 5GHz Wi-Fi bands. Your PC is tied to your home ISP via Ethernet or a specific Wi-Fi band, which might be subject to router interference, ISP throttling, or bandwidth sharing with other devices on the network.

   Fix: To get a fair comparison, try installing the official Telegram Desktop app on your PC and test its upload speed against this app on the same PC while connected to the exact same network.

2. Antivirus / Firewall Interference (Most Common Issue)
   Because the official Telegram app is globally recognized, major Antivirus software (like Kaspersky, BitDefender, and Windows Defender) often whitelists its traffic. Third-party apps, however, are frequently subjected to Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) by your security software, which severely throttles upload speeds.

   Fix: Try temporarily adding the app to your Antivirus or Windows Defender exclusion/whitelist list to see if speeds immediately spike.

3. Adjust the Transfer Chunk Size
   The app includes a built-in "VPN Optimizer" with adjustable transfer chunk sizing to help with network tuning.

   Fix: Try tweaking this in the settings! If you have a stable, high-speed connection (like Fiber), increasing the chunk size (e.g., to 1MB+) can improve throughput. If you have higher latency, a smaller chunk size (256KB - 512KB) might perform better.

4. Data Center (DC) Routing
   Telegram routes your connection to a specific Data Center. Sometimes, third-party libraries might connect to a DC that is geographically further away or more congested than the one the official app selects.

   Fix: Try logging out of the app and logging back in. This forces Telegram's API to re-evaluate your connection and potentially assign you a faster, closer DC.

5. ISP Throttling / QoS
   Some Internet Service Providers use Quality of Service (QoS) rules to prioritize recognized traffic (like the official Telegram signature) and throttle unrecognized encrypted streams.

   Fix: Try running an upload while connected to a mobile hotspot or a different network to see if the speed difference persists.

Let me know if tweaking the chunk size or adding the app to your AV exceptions makes a noticeable difference!

I’d like a feature that lets users upload files directly from a download stream. For example, if I paste a link to a resource such as an ISO file, the app should be able to cache it or use it as a source and upload the file directly to Telegram.
