As well as Google Group we should mention the Facebook Group URL in the CakePHP documentation. Facebook is now a popular social community and it's great to see the official cakephp group in Facebook. So we should add it so that people can keep in touch with CakePHP from their own facebook account.

Actually I'm not too happy about that.
Facebook is not and shall not become a help forum.
That social network isn't practical for that, because of its noisiness.

Agree with @ravage84, while having a link to FB group would be nice, it should not under "Where to get help" section.

My bad, I don't use it so I didn't know its purpose. Could someone update the text to reflect the actual role of the Facebook group?

We also have an official LinkedIn group: https://www.linkedin.com/groups/Official-CakePHP-Group-4623165

So we should have an official XING group, too ;-)
XING is more popular in Europe than LinkedIn.
This is especially true to German speaking countries.

There is an unofficial CakePHP group:
https://www.xing.com/net/cakephp
I've contacted the owner of the group a few months ago and he wouldn't mind if we would change the main language of the group to English and would declare it the official CakePHP group on XING.

@ravage84 Not in the Netherlands, but I realize that is just a tiny part of Europe. To be honest, I had never heard of it until last month when another German mentioned it. So basically, what you say is mostly Germany, Switzerland and Austria‎?
