🚀 Introducing NGSST: A New Paradigm for Vision Models
After months of research and development, I'm preparing to release Neural Geometric State Space Transformer (NGSST) — a fundamentally different approach to vision and video understanding.
What makes NGSST different?
Most vision models treat images as flat 2D grids. NGSST treats visual perception as a continuous geometric process with explicit 3D reasoning built into the architecture.
Core Innovations:
Neural Geometric State Space (NGSS): First integration of SE(3)-equivariant operations with state space models, enabling principled 3D reasoning in temporal sequences
Multi-Scale Predictive Coding with Geometric Constraints: Self-supervised learning that reconstructs future observations while enforcing physical 3D consistency
Resolution-Agnostic Design: Neural implicit tokenization handles arbitrary input resolutions without retraining
Continuous Temporal Dynamics: Natural temporal smoothing through geometric state evolution
Why this matters
NGSST addresses critical failure modes in current vision models:
❌ Resolution Wall: Current models break at non-training resolutions
✅ NGSST: Neural implicit representations work at any resolution
❌ Temporal Incoherence: Frame-by-frame processing causes flickering
✅ NGSST: Continuous state dynamics enforce temporal consistency
❌ Geometric Blindness: Models don't understand 3D structure
✅ NGSST: SE(3) equivariance baked into the architecture
❌ Quadratic Complexity: Attention explodes with resolution
✅ NGSST: Local-global factorization achieves near-linear scaling

Questions?
This discussion is open for questions about the approach, architecture, or potential applications. I'll be monitoring and responding as we get closer to release.
This is not just another vision transformer variant. This is a fundamentally different way to think about visual perception.
