[Bug]: Due/scheduled date modal closes when I type a digit in the date picker field with an existing date

Bug Description

This one:

I type a "2", it immediately closes. When I reopen it, it remembers the digit I typed:

The bug doesn't seem to happen when typing a date in a due/scheduled date that wasn't set before. (Though the #1392 issue is still present.)

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open the due or scheduled date modal on a task that already had that date set
2. Try to type a new date in the Date field

Thanks for the clear reproduction screenshots.

I found that the due/scheduled date picker was treating native date-field changes as an immediate confirmation. That meant editing an already-filled date could close the modal as soon as the browser reported a partial date-field change, while the newer date picker also missed the compact date-entry behavior added for the older fields.

I have patched the picker so typing, pasting, or using the native date field only updates the pending selection. The modal now waits for Enter or the Select button before saving, and compact YYYYMMDD entry works in that picker as well.

This should be fixed in the next release.
