Overview N8N automation ("we", "our", or "us") operates an n8n automation workflow server ("the Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you sign in using your Google account.

Information We Collect When you sign in with Google, we receive only the information that Google provides with your consent:
Your email address – used to identify your user account
Your name – for personalizing the interface
Your profile picture – for display purposes
We do NOT request or access:
Your Google Drive files (unless you explicitly configure a Google Drive node)
Your Gmail messages (unless you explicitly configure a Gmail node)
Your Google Calendar (unless you explicitly configure a Calendar node)
Your contacts, location, or any other Google data beyond your basic profile
- How We Use Your Information We use your Google account information solely to:
Authenticate you as an authorized user of the n8n instance
Associate workflows you create with your user account
Display your name and avatar within the application
- Data Storage & Security All authentication tokens are stored encrypted on our server
Your Google OAuth tokens are never shared with third parties
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information
- Your Google Data – Scope of Access Our application requests the following limited Google scopes:
Scope Purpose openid To verify your identity email To retrieve your email address for account identification profile To retrieve your name and profile picture Important: If you later connect individual workflow nodes (like Gmail, Sheets, or Drive nodes), those nodes will request separate, explicit consent for those specific services. The sign-in process alone does NOT grant access to your emails or files.
- Data Retention & Deletion Your profile information is retained as long as your user account exists on our n8n instance
To delete your data, remove your user account from the n8n instance
You can revoke Google access at any time at: https://myaccount.google.com/permissions
