Oh, I should also point out that I tried the image on ARM (M1 MacBook) and it solved the original issue for me, as noted in the linked PR. |

The version of api_demo_server used in our K8s tutorial wasn't built correctly for non-amd64 architectures. See canonical/api_demo_server#33.
This PR updates to the latest version, which fixes the issue.
