The first release of jsPsych Studio, a no-code builder for jsPsych experiments: author in the browser, then export readable jsPsych you can host anywhere.
Try it at https://www.capro.dev/jspsych-studio/. There is nothing to install.
What it does
- Building: nested timelines, a conditions table generated from a design, parameter forms for every jsPsych plugin (questionnaire items included), rich stimulus text, and image and sound files.
- Design: groups and branching on performance, plus a psychophysics canvas step whose objects you drag into place.
- Preview: live, for the whole experiment or a single step. A guided tour walks through the builder.
- Data: choose where results go. A failed upload falls back to a download, so data is never lost silently.
- Recruitment: participants from Prolific, SONA or CloudResearch Connect are identified by the platform's id and sent back once their data is saved.
- Export: a self-contained HTML file or a zipped project with Psych-DS metadata. Every export names the Studio and jsPsych versions that built it.
- Hand-editing: a JSON Schema gives editors completion and validation for spec files.
Not yet: hosting, or study-level flow such as ending on declined consent (#30) or counterbalanced task order (#31).
