I tested these out and the behavior is not quite as described:

just docker::compose	Runs docker::compose default recipe

just docker::compose list	Runs docker::compose default and list (two recipes)

This seems pretty intuitive to me.

If a recipe takes arguments, arguments after the recipe will always be parsed as arguments, regardless of the invocation.
