[BUG] Admin Permission Cask Adoption does not prompt dialog for password

Bug Description

Cask Adoption that requires Admin Priviledges appears to not show the dialog box for your login password (required if you've turned on the permission in settings).

Steps to Reproduce

Unable to reproduce locally at this time, reported on Reddit via various users.

Expected Behavior

If you've enabled the "Admin Password" permission in Caskly settings, you'd see a dialog box after hitting adopt that would ask for your password, and then run the brew commands with sudo using said password.

Actual Behavior

The dialog box does not appear and then the brew command fails due to requiring sudo.

Environment

• Caskly Version: Initial Beta 1.0.0
• macOS Version: 15 & 26
• Mac Model: All
• Homebrew Version: Unknown

I have the same issue. Admin settings enabled - but no prompt and unable to adopt casks requiring admin.

Same problem here. For example with wireshark and arq.

I think I managed to adopt nextcloud in Caskly Beta 838 but I am not 100% certain.

I had the same issue. After I toggled the Admin Password. I restarted Caskly and the prompt displayed, however I isn't working for everything. adguard, expressvpn etc

Same issue with Microsoft Office apps and zoom. I don't get a prompt displayed, so I can't adopt. Using Beta 980, admin setting is enabled.

Actually, since I'm unable to replicate @jankkm @skarvall @Drewtopia @dazzah87 would one of you be willing to send me your logs to the apps email: hello@hugeideas.ca?

Here's what you'll want to do:

1. Settings -> Preferences -> Logging -> Enable this with the toggle
2. Proceed to attempt to adopt a buggy admin cask where the dialog doesn't pop for you
3. Review the log file created on your Desktop (if you're worried about sharing anything sensitive from your machine)
4. Send an email to hello@hugeideas.ca with the log file and which App/Cask was having the issue.

(Follow the steps in order to get the logging to actually log the issue)

I'll review and see if I can determine exactly where this is failing, and then delete the logs once I'm done and verified a fix for it.
