Abstract

The BC7017 sign is a sign that set the return address stored in inventory or book ticket as destination address.

Function

This sign is placed under the rail, and can operate on carts passing over it. Content of slot #4, #5 and #6 is moved to slots #0, #1 and #2, and TTL in slot #3 is initialized to value 64.

In case of a book ticket, parameter net.src.addr is copied to net.dst.addr.

Usage

BC7017 sign can be used in station to send the cart back to its origin station.

Since return address is stored in inventory of the heading cart of trains, care must be taken to avoid modifying the inventory. Use specific material to write address to avoid unwanted change. Usage of BC7021 sign to separate the train head of the wagons before performing inventory operations is a good practice. Usage of book tickets is another solution.
