Hi. I'm trying to import CatBoostRegressor in Collab, but a get this error. I have installed catboost using pip. numpy version 1.26.4, python 3.11.11. I read that numpy version must be less 2.0.0. So i have numpy 1.26.4 and still get this error. Help please

Can you try with the new CatBoost release 1.2.8 (that supports NumPy 2.x as well) and check if this problem still persists?

Can you describe your environment in more details?

• What is your OS (exact version, not simply Windows or macOS) and CPU architecture?
• How was the python installed? An installer from python.org, system package, brew, pyenv etc?
• How did you install catboost ? pip, 'conda', build from source?

Also, do you use pandas and what is your pandas version? People reported similar errors here
