Toggler is a lightweight macOS menu-bar utility for controlling Google Chrome’s vertical-tabs sidebar. Show or hide the sidebar instantly using the menu-bar icon or a global keyboard shortcut—without relying on a larger launcher application.

Open Google Chrome with vertical tabs enabled.

Click Toggler’s menu-bar icon to show or hide the sidebar (or press Command–Shift–Comma)

Right-click the menu-bar icon to open Toggler’s menu and Settings.

Keyboard shortcuts:
Option–Shift–G — Expand or collapse all groups

Expand all tab groups with one action

Remember your latest tab-group sequence

Automatically restore the latest remembered Chrome window (Restore group order and expand every group a few seconds after Chrome starts)
Pro shortcuts:
Option–Shift–G — Expand or collapse all groups
Option–Shift–O — Restore the remembered sequence and expand all groups
Chrome’s vertical tabs are useful, but repeatedly opening the sidebar, expanding groups and rebuilding your preferred workspace can become tedious.
Toggler keeps those actions close at hand while remaining small, native and focused on one job.

- Developer mode in Chrome for loading the Pro companion
- Toggler uses Accessibility only to locate and press Chrome’s sidebar control.
