Complete working LinuxCNC 54" x 60" Plasma Table Control Software With Arduino Mega 2560 THC

This is a complete working machine configuration for the 54" x 60" CNC plasma table I built in EMC2 (LinuxCNC).

The specifications for the physical table & controller electronics are:

  • Computer

    • Dell Optiplex 755 (or other antique PC with a parallel port & open PCIe slot)

    • Vantec 1-Port Parallel PCIe Host Card (UGT-PCE10PL)

    • (2) 25 Foot DB25 25 Pin Serial Port Cables, Male/Female

  • Cabinet Electronics

    • (2) SainSmart ST-v3 Parallel Break-Out Boards

    • (3) RattmMotor Model DMA-860-S Stepper Motor Controllers (X, Y, YTandem Axis)

    • (1) MakerBase MKS TMC2160-OC Stepper Motor Driver (Z-Axis)

    • (1) 24 volt 8-input Opto-isolated Relay Board

    • (8) Taiss LJ12A3-4-Z/AX Proximity Switch Inductive Proximity Sensors

    • (1) 5 volt Switching Power Supply

    • (1) 24 volt Switching Power Supply

    • (1) Arduino Mega 2560 R3 Development Board (THC)

    • (1) Nextion Enhanced 3.5 inch HMI Display Resistive Touch Screen 5V TFT LCD 480x320

    • (1) 9 volt Arduino-compatible "Wall Wart" Power Adapter

  • Mechanical Components

    • (1) RATTMMOTOR EBX1605 100mm / 3.94" CNC Linear Stage Actuator (Z-Axis)

    • (3) STEPPERONLINE High Torque Nema 23 CNC Stepper Motors, 114mm 425oz.in/3Nm

    • (2) SFU1605 ballscrews 16mm 1500mm (Y & YTandem Axis)

    • (1) SFU1605 ballscrew 16mm 1550mm (X Axis)

    • (3) Motor Mounting Brackets and BK12 Bearing End Support Blocks for Nema 23 Stepper Motor and Ball Screw 16mm

    • (1) Electrical Box 23.6'' x 20'' x 8'' Indoor/Outdoor
