First, what does the update cache command do? CDISC routinely publishes new and updated rules, and this does not follow a fixed interval or schedule. The command also retrieves new standards metadata such as CDISC CT. These rules and metadata are stored in the CDISC Library. When you run the update cache command, the engine retrieves the latest rules and metadata from the CDISC Library and saves them locally on your computer.
