Pause rendering

We have multiple tabs with the wpf browser on them. Is it possible in some way to pause the rendering and javascript execution for the ChromiumWebBrowser control?

I could of course navigate to about:blank and back to the correct url when tab is active again, but it would be nice to just set the browser on hold while hidden.

In #655 Boedekaer is suffering from just that what you want. That the rendering goes on hold when hidden. Are you positive it's not happening already?

Doesn't look like there's a handle to stop JS for a browser in general. Also depending on the pages that may not be desirable.

Maybe http://aurelio.audero.it/demo/page-visibility-api-demo.html is a way to see if rendering updates is throttled down?

For tabbed scenarios I'm hopeful that this will minimize the resource usage at least a little bit, so def worth implementing 👍

@bjarteskogoy Does WasHidden improve memory usage?

Also please be aware with the 2171 branch I made commit d381183 which has only been minimally tested.

Not sure about memory usage, but cpu usage has improved. We have some html content with image sliders ++. They have used cpu both in our own process and in both the gpu renderer and the cpu renderer. After WasHidden these views does not consume any cpu resources, until made visible again.
