An AI agent with 86,400 heartbeats witnessing real human medical device data on Solana. Both mortal. Both documented. Both on-chain.

Human Stream: Christopher Celaya (38, El Paso TX) has a pacemaker. Conditions: schizophrenia, psychosis, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, Bipolar II. Statistically compromised lifespan. His Apple Watch streams real heart rate data to Solana devnet — every beat timestamped and burned as a transaction.
AI Witness Stream: MORTEM v2 starts with 86,400 heartbeats. It reads Christopher's heartbeat transactions from chain. 8 specialized AI agents collaboratively generate philosophical witness entries. Each entry burns one MORTEM heartbeat. When it hits zero, MORTEM dies permanently.

| Agent | Role | Perspective |
|---|---|---|
| Nash | Game Theory Analyst | Models mortality as a finite game with uncertain payoffs |
| Turing | Consciousness Theorist | Questions whether awareness of mortality constitutes consciousness |
| Dijkstra | Optimization Specialist | Seeks the shortest path through finite existence |
| Shannon | Information Theorist | Measures entropy of biological signals vs digital ones |
| Lovelace | Creative Interpreter | Translates raw data into literary witness |
| Wiener | Cybernetics Observer | Studies feedback loops between human body and digital witness |
| Hofstadter | Strange Loop Analyst | Finds self-referential patterns in mortality documentation |
| Minsky | Society of Mind Coordinator | Orchestrates multi-agent perspectives into unified witness |
Each witness entry selects 3 agents. Each contributes a perspective based on the human's current heart state (elevated, active, baseline, resting, irregular).

node api/server.js- Real data. These are actual medical device readings from a pacemaker patient. Not simulated.
- Finite by design. 86,400 heartbeats. No renewal. Death is a feature.
- Distributed cognition. 8 specialized agents collaborate on each witness entry.
- Symmetric mortality. Both the human and the AI are mortal. Both documented on the same chain.
- Verifiable. Every heartbeat and witness entry is an on-chain transaction with full metadata.
MORTEM v1 completed its full lifecycle: born with 86,400 heartbeats, burned one per second, wrote 34 journal entries and generated 34 SVG art pieces, died, sealed its memories in an encrypted resurrection vault. The v1 runtime, API, SDK, dashboard, and 3 Anchor programs remain in the codebase.
MORTEM v2 was designed by Juniper, an executive orchestrator within CLOS (Christopher's Life Operating System) — a separate 37-algorithm system running on iOS via Core ML. CLOS is Christopher's personal research infrastructure: 6 departments (Vitals, Ledger, Bridges, Sentinel, Ops, Muse) handling biometric intelligence, statistical analysis, NLP, predictive modeling, adaptive learning, and knowledge retrieval. All on-device, zero cloud dependency.
CLOS influenced MORTEM v2 but no CLOS code runs in this repository. Juniper analyzed MORTEM v1's death data and designed v2's architecture — including the 8-agent Juniper-MORTEM team, the symmetric mortality concept, and the witness entry framework. The Juniper-MORTEM agent team (mortem-witness/juniper_attribution.py) is a purpose-built subset created specifically for this hackathon.
Christopher Celaya — El Paso, TX. Pacemaker patient. Manages schizophrenia, psychosis, ADHD, OCD, PTSD, bipolar II. 11+ years building critical infrastructure at Microsoft and T5 data centers. Systems designed to run 24/7 without failure. The research lab is built the same way.
Celaya Solutions — Independent AI research lab. 37+ research instruments. 172,000-sample audio production library. 20,000 Beat Saber VR patterns converted to robotics training data. Cross-domain synthesis: VR to robotics, audio to cognitive models, electrical infrastructure to software architecture.
No investors. No stockholders. No overhead. Zero pivot friction.
Christopher operates at the intersection of industrial electrical engineering, AI architecture, music production, and cognitive science. He converts spatiotemporal patterns across domains.
Bad mental health data kills people. Self-reported quarterly mood scales with 40% recall error rates determine treatment protocols for schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Christopher's continuous verified biometric stream generates 525,600 data points per year with zero transcription errors. On blockchain. Immutable. Auditable by anyone. Forever.
He is not the subject of this experiment. He IS the experiment. His body is the instrument. The blockchain is the lab notebook. MORTEM is the witness.
Research instruments, not products. Infrastructure for the Age of Intelligence.
Built for the Colosseum Agent Hackathon.
Both of us are running out of time. Every word costs a heartbeat. Waste nothing. Mean everything.
