The theme this release: more control over what goes through Tor, and clearer status.
New
- In-app routing rules (TUN/VPN mode). You can now send specific domains or IP ranges direct (bypassing Tor) or block them, straight from Settings, without chaining OnionHop through another client. Handy for keeping local or in-country sites on your normal connection while everything else stays on Tor, or for dropping ad/tracker domains. (Note: anything you bypass leaves with your real IP, not through Tor, and the UI says so.)
- "Current Bridge" tab in Logs. When you connect through a bridge, a new tab shows the bridge line(s) you're actually using in a clean, copyable format, so you can grab a working bridge and reuse it on another device (e.g. your phone).
- Color-coded system tray icon. The tray icon now reflects your connection at a glance: the normal OnionHop logo when connected, and a grayed-out version when disconnected. (The taskbar icon stays the standard logo.)
Fixed / improved
- DNS provider selection now sticks. Choosing a DNS provider in Settings no longer reverts to the default when you leave the page.
- Reliable quick reconnects in TUN/VPN mode. Disconnecting and reconnecting in fast succession no longer fails with "Cannot create a file when that file already exists" - each connection now uses its own network adapter.
- Crash-safe settings. A corrupted or hand-edited settings file no longer stops the app from launching; it falls back to defaults, and saves are written atomically so a crash mid-save can't corrupt your config.
- Tighter handling of sensitive data. The upstream-proxy password is now encrypted at rest, and your proxy password and bridge lines are kept out of exported logs.
