Frequently Asked Questions
A1-1: The default setting is Closed Loop Auto Focus.
Although Open Loop Auto Focus can be set in the specifications, we recommend Closed Loop Auto Focus with high accuracy.
A1-2: Please email us at ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
NDA may be required for some specifications.
A1-3: NDA is required to disclose register information.
Please email us at ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
If you want to move immediately, we have prepared a sample program. Please refer to the following.

A3-2: We recommend CPB0334-0150F made by SMK.
Please contact us if you wish to customize CA378-AOIS, such as changing the connector fitting height.
A4-1: It is published on our GitHub.
The driver source code of JetsonTX2 is as follows.

A5-1: Please email us at ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
NDA may be required for some information.
Information that is not disclosed by the sensor manufacturer cannot be disclosed.
A6-1: Depending on the quantity, etc., it can be customized at our group factories.

A7-1: Depending on the suitability of the lens and quantity, it can be customized at our group factories.
Please email us at ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
A7-2: We can't sell because we can't do the imaging test at the time of assembly.
However, if you may be able to perform an imaging test using a removable reference lens, please email us at ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
A7-3: I think that it can be changed a little with an external lens attachment, but it cannot be changed with the current camera module.
A8-1: The procedure for using a Raspbian image with SSP library installed is as follows.
(1) Download the following image.
https://www.centuryarks.com/images/product/sensor/2018-11-13-raspbian-stretch-CA378-AOIS.zip
(2) Follow the Raspbian installation guide.
https://www.raspberrypi.org/documentation/installation/installing-images/README.md
For manual installation, refer to page 4 of the following procedure.
https://github.com/centuryarks/CA378-AOIS/tree/master/Raspi3
A8-2: Unfortunately, this is Broadcom's proprietary (*1) and at this time, no user is allowed to access the ISP.
(*1) Indicates that the source code, specifications, standards, structure, etc. are not disclosed.
The specific company or organization has the right and its specific details are not disclosed.
However, ISP can be used for the TinkerBoard compatible I/F board set that will be released soon.
We plan to provide image quality adjustment files that have been ISP tuned as default.
Customization can be adjusted for a fee, so please contact ca-qa@centuryarks.com for details.
A9-1: No, only MIPI 2Lane is supported.
A9-2:
[HARDWARE]
CA378-AOIS's Jetson TX1 / TX2 development kit [I / F Board for Jetson] can be connected because the connector to the Xavier main unit is the same.
However, in Xavier, there are places where the power supply voltage is partly different from TX2, and it is necessary to replace the regulator IC.
The approximate specifications for the connection between the Xavier specification and our CA378-AOIS I/F board are as follows.
Resolution and frame rate: 12M @ 30fps
MIPI 2Lane x 6 (Xavier itself can connect up to 8)

Development plans are under consideration. Please contact us if you have any requests.
*Depending on the customer's business plan, individual consultation is also available.
Please contact ca-qa@centuryarks.com.
A9-3: Although you cannot adjust the image quality by yourself or our company, here are the answers we received from NVIDIA.
NVIDIA answers are as follows:
Yes, if you care about the image quality you have to go through the tuning process.
BTW, you need camera scaling partner to help to go through this.
We can't release the tuning tool due to IP and other business agreement issue, however we have enable camera partner to provide the support for customers, please find their information from below page:
https://developer.nvidia.com/embedded/community/partners
Q10-1: The IMX378 specification supports RAW/12/10/8 output image formats.
Can you provide documentation on register settings for each output format?
Is it possible to change the clock setting?
A10-1: Please contact ca-qa@centuryarks.com for NDA for register setting information specifications.
As for the clock system setting, there is a sensor manufacturer non-disclosure register as well as expert knowledge, so user setting is difficult.
The register setting information file for each mode* is available on the following site.
*For the list, see the link of on the right
https://github.com/centuryarks/Sample/tree/master/CA378-AOIS/RegisterSettings
We also accept requests for register setting information files for other modes, but it will take about 2 or 3 weeks to create, so please contact ca-qa@centuryarks.com with your desired mode.
