This is the first ‘user ready’ release of cellxgene

Major changes

  • Launch from CLI with scanpy backend using local data
  • View and explore cells using a specified dimensionality reduction layout, and show categorical and continuous cell metadata
  • Explore cells based on their gene expression
  • Compute differential expression of arbitrary groups of cells
  • Preprocess data for cellxgene consumption using ‘prepare’ CLI command
