LSP usage

I'm trying to understand how Crush uses the LSPs. I added an LSP for my project which provides PHP support. Upon asking questions like:

Use the LSP tool to find usages of the Stock_Movement class method named setQtyReserved.

it uses Glob and View tools and the response I get is like so:

I'm using the newly released LSP from devsense.com and the sidebar shows it with a green dot. In VS Code, this LSP is able to resolve return types of static factory methods that are part of a framework-specific convention, so it'd be really helpful for me to empower the LLM with this esoteric knowledge to enhance it's context more effectively than other agents without an LSP. That's what I was hoping for, at least.

Is this a limitation of the LSP implementation? I'm guessing I'm just misunderstanding what the LSP is used for - is it just for error checking then?

I'd also appreciate a brief explanation of how crush uses the LSPs. I have some configured, but have no idea how they're influencing the work. My guess is that after a write, it reads diagnostics from the LSP and take another turn accordingly?

currently, its used only for diagnostics.

Thanks, I figured that out once I dug into the code..

I'll close the discussion as it's clear now. I do think it would be interesting to have an AI coding agent that can make effective use of an LSP instead of relying on grep as I've seen many errors that should have been obvious with an LSP and fruitless code searches. I've dabbled with CCLSP and Serena although Serena's LSP implementation was not stable for me (PHP).

Just adding an update for anyone reading or following, Crush now uses the LSP find_references as of 0.12.0! (#1233)
