Dot circle animation re-triggers on previously highlighted points

If you quickly move your mouse from one dot to other ones, the previous one triggers the circle growth/degrowth animation again.

I believe this happens because the original animation was not finished, and the animation on the new dot shares the behaviour on the previous dot which should no longer be highlighted.
