There is a bit of discussion on the forum: https://support.delta.chat/t/what-is-your-experience-running-madmail/4719/4
I am also not sure about the description of "madmail" as "fork of maddy optimized for chatmail deployments". Makes it sound like a drop-in replacement that you should use instead of this chatmail relay which it is not. OTOH the docs already say "experimental".
