Hi there,
I recently spent some time testing Buzz for local voice-memo transcription on Windows and wanted to say thank you for building it.
Among the local transcription tools I tried, Buzz stood out as one of the easiest to understand and get running, while still being pretty feature-complete and having access to multiple models and modes of hardware acceleration.
During my testing, I have opened a few issues regarding UX in folder watch and live transcription: #1550, #1551, #1552
They are meant constructively and try to keep each report granular and reproducible.
I have also featured Buzz as my current go-to recommendation in a featured article on my own ad-free website:
Transcribing voice memos locally in 2026 (on Windows or Mac)
https://www.tomfichtner.com/article/transcription-of-voice-memos/
The recommendation is deliberately limited to the workflow I found most reliable: record externally, finish the audio file, then drag it into Buzz for transcription.
Thanks again for the work you have put into the project!
