First version update to the v1.2.8.1 fork of CrossInk. New Flow theme placing book covers at the center of the experience.

Summary

  • Flow theme. A new selectable UI theme that puts an iPod-style perspective carousel on the home screen. Up to seven recent books cycle through, with the selected book centered at full size and partial side covers fanning away on either side. Visual concept ported from https://github.com/ideo2004-afk/crosspoint-reader-lua.
  • Recent Books grid. The Recent Books menu now opens a 3x3 grid of book covers instead of a list of titles. Pages auto-paginate when you have more than nine books, with page indicator dots at the bottom. A title strip above the grid shows the currently selected book so you always know which cover you're on.
  • Reading Stats redesign. The Reading Stats screen is now a multi-book browser instead of a single-book view. The current book's cover sits prominently at the top, with the title and per-book stats below it (sessions, reading time, pages turned, average session, pages per minute), followed by an "All Time" section for cumulative stats across every book.
  • Cycle through books in Reading Stats. Use the left and right buttons (or the up/down rocker) to flip through every recent book that has stats without leaving the screen. Peek covers at the screen edges show you the previous and next books in the cycle, each marked with a chevron arrow so you can tell which direction you're going.
  • Open books straight from Reading Stats. Pressing Confirm on the Reading Stats screen opens the book currently being shown. Whichever book you open becomes the new "current" book on the home carousel automatically.
  • Long-press DOWN skips the carousel. On the home screen, holding DOWN now jumps directly to "Browse Files" instead of paginating through every recent book first. Quick taps still step through books one at a time. Once you're in the menu, continued holding moves down through the menu items as before.
  • Three release variants. Same as upstream CrossInk: tiny, xlarge, and no_emoji builds available depending on which font sizes and emoji support you want.
