0.2.0
What's new
- New notes without a saved position are now placed in name order (numbers sort numerically), in a new row below your lowest box.
- Right-click a folder in the file explorer to open its relation diagram.
- The diagram tab is now named after the folder (e.g.
/Projects), so it's easy to tell apart from note tabs. - Subfolders appear as folder-shaped boxes with their note count. Click Open folder to step in (Ctrl/Cmd + click opens a new tab), and use the breadcrumb above the diagram to go back.
- The command now shows a notice when no note is open.
Notes for existing users
- If a folder has subfolders, they now appear as folder boxes automatically. Drag them like any other box; positions are saved.
- Links between notes in different folders are still not drawn.
0.1.1 — Fix review warning, keep positions on rename
- Removed the leftover sample settings tab. Base Diagram has no user-facing settings, so this resolves the getSettingDefinitions() review warning without changing behavior.
- Saved node positions now follow notes when they are renamed or moved to another folder, and are cleaned up when notes are deleted.

0.1.0 — Initial release
Initial release of Base Diagram.
Turn a folder of notes into a relationship diagram, using your existing frontmatter as the single source of truth.
- Draws each note in a folder as a table-style box with its frontmatter properties
- Link-type properties (e.g. related: "[[Note]]") become arrows from source to target
- Drag boxes to arrange them; positions are saved per folder
- Long values are truncated to fit, with the full text shown on hover
- Optional color property (red / blue / green / yellow / purple) to tint boxes
- "Open note" link on each box to jump to the note in a new tab
- Refresh button in the view header; the diagram's folder is restored after restarting Obsidian
- English and Japanese UI, following Obsidian's display language
