Thanks for trying it. Short answer: today the This is not just a wrapper around Chrome DevTools Protocol. The product difference is that ego lite gives agents their own isolated Spaces, so an agent can automate pages in the background without taking over your active browsing, while still using your existing login state. Stock Chrome does not really provide that combination as a product primitive. If an agent controls your current Chrome profile, it can interfere with the tabs you are using. If it runs in a separate Chrome profile/context, it usually loses your real logged-in state. ego lite is designed specifically to solve that gap. ego lite is Chromium-based, and on first launch it can migrate Chrome data, so you should not need to set up logins, bookmarks, or extensions from scratch. I understand the concern about installing another browser, but the separate browser is what lets agents and humans work in parallel without fighting over the same tabs. |
