Error: No manual entry for gitauth

Describe the bug

When trying to gh auth login I get an instant error about having no manual entry for gitauth.

MacOS: Big Sur 11.3.1 (20E241)
Git: git version 2.31.1 (Installed with Brew)
GitHub CLI: 1.9.2 (Poured from bottle on 2021-05-17 at 14:38:48)

Steps to reproduce the behavior

1. Install GitHub CLI brew install gh
2. Run gh auth login
3. View the output No manual entry for gitauth

Expected vs actual behavior

I expected to get the interactive login output like the docs says. Instead I got:

What gets executed when you write gh? You can check with type gh and which -a gh

It should be /usr/local/bin/gh, or wherever your Homebrew prefix is. It looks to me that's not what's happening on your machine.

@mislav You might be correct. How do I fix that?

Somewhere in your shell configuration file (e.g. $HOME/.bashrc) there is a line looking like this: alias gh=.... Delete it and restart your terminal tab or window. This will make sure that when you run gh, the actual command gets executed instead of your custom alias.
