Since you mentioned you're new to GitHub, I assume you're not familiar with the git tool and are working through the Web UI.

  1. Navigate to your branches page: https://github.com/PretzelWeaver/deepfuture/branches
  2. Click the button 'New branch'.
  3. Select the upstream repository as the source.
  4. Create new branch.
  1. Then you're able to switch the branch in the homepage of your fork.
  1. Commit your changes, submit a draft PR.
  2. Mark it ready to review once it's finished.
  3. (Optional) After it is merged, you'll see a 'Delete your branch' button at the bottom of the PR page—hit to delete.
  4. Create a new branch to start a new working thread.
