Built in as of v1.11.0: every device now has an optional run condition — a sensor + below/above + limit. For your case: condition sensor = your water heater temp, "below", limit = e.g. 55. The heater then only starts on surplus while the tank is below 55, and shuts off (respecting min-on-time) once it's hot. It also blocks the deadline force-start, so a hot tank never gets reheated from grid. Configure it in the device dialog (Settings → Integrations → AURUM → Configure → edit device). Update via HACS + restart — details in the release notes. Let me know how it works for your setup! |

So I have a water heater I would like to turn on when there is excess solar which is fine but I also would like to only use excess solar when a temp limit is hit ie below x. So like a pre requisite
