I'd love to see an option, to manually add some kind of shortcut to the "Tools" section of the left menu bar.
Some of my most used tools, like Duplicati or snapRAID currently don't have a dedicated cockpit plug-in. To make managing those more convenient, a dedicated shortcut named "Duplicati" would link to the tools web-gui at "localhost:8200". The webinterface could open in either a new browser window or as an iframe so that the cockpit main menu remains visible.
For configuration, I'd see the following options:
Field 1: name of link
Field 2: url
Checkbox: open in new window (or open within cockpit)
