the number of coco panoptic training annotation images is not matched with the json file

I noticed a discrepancy between the number of images in the panoptic annotation folder and the entries listed in the JSON annotation file. Specifically, there are 52,751 PNG images in the panoptic annotation folder (panoptic_train2017), whereas the JSON file (panoptic_train2017.json) includes annotations for all 118,287 images.

Could anyone please clarify whether there are additional annotation images available elsewhere, or if this reduction was intentional? Any guidance on this would be greatly appreciated.
