The submission run keeps failing without generating any logs

Hello,
As competition organizers, we have been consistently failing when we run the submitted prediction results from participants for scoring. When we click the question mark in the upper right corner of the "failed" status, it shows "Could not find scores file, did the scoring program output it?".
I have added print statements in the scoring script, but when I click to enter the log details page, the log information is empty.

When viewing the execution result of this submission on the "my submission" page, the information is as shown in Figure 2.

I would like to ask, is this an issue of the image failing to start? If not, what could be the possible reasons? Can you give some suggestions?
The image I used is ‘codalab/codalab-legacy:py39’.

Please try to change the queue to "Codabench-Test" and re-run the submissions.

However, I've encountered the same issue you mentioned in #2258:
"Submission failed: Child task failed or non-zero return code. See logs for more details."

Unfortunately, the logs still contain no information.

Do you have any idea or suggestions regarding this issue?

I did a test and the submission fails instantly. In the (scoring) compute worker logs I found this:

2026-03-21 13:11:10.217 | WARNING  | compute_worker:_run_program_directory:914 - Program directory missing metadata, assuming it's going to be handled by ingestion
2026-03-21 13:11:10.219 | WARNING  | compute_worker:_run_program_directory:901 - /codabench/uPK-7_sID-641145__uci15kgj/ingestion_program not found, no program to execute

Opening the scoring program it looks like it does contain the metadata.yaml file, so I suppose it is a path problem.

Try to zip your scoring program directly, without directory structure:

scoring_program.zip
|- metadata.yaml
|- scoring.py

Instead of:

scoring_program.zip
|- scoring_program/
|---|- metadata.yaml
|---|- scoring.py

And then upload the new version and replace the scoring program in the task.

PS. @ihsaan-ullah I thought we fixed this problem in the past but it is still there.

1. We get no logs in the platform when the failure is because of wrong path
2. Programs inside a folder should not be a cause of failure

Oh indeed #1905 was reverted #1946. I'll open an issue about it.
