.github/workflows might need some fixing

Hi there,

I have copied the .github/workflows folder on a different project to make sure PreTeXt runs correctly, but something weird happens: it prompts me to login to enable GitHub actions and I can select my account BUT it does not ask for my password (as it did in the past) and so they do not get triggered (the Codespace does not have PreTeXt installed automatically).

Is there a simple fix in the .yml that would fix that?

UPDATE: When I started a Codespace here it did work, so it is something in the way I have set up actions on my own repo... I know not technically about this project, but maybe it could be useful to have instructions on what to do if you forked the repo a while ago and just need to update the actions/workflow to make it work?

If you would like, I can add a few paragraphs on this topic to the book... So if you help me figure it out, I will document it!

PS: This is my repo, which is a fork of this (as you can see I still have a bunch of the things in there, should probably clean up main at some point)
