Question about offline update without internet

Hi. 😉 Thank you for pyradio, it's a wonderful product to use. I'd want to know how I can update pyradio on a Linux device (Debian/Ubuntu) without internet access. I tried uploading a .zip file of the latest version to cache and running pyradio -U, but it didn't work. I'd really want to know how to do this.

Sure that's very easy to do once you have the zip file.

Just open a terminal and (this is an example for 0.9.3.11.21):

unzip pyradio-0.9.3.11.21.zip
cd pyradio-0.9.3.11.21
./devel/build_install_pyradio

Provided that all dependencies are in place, (i.e. this is an update) you now have the latest version.

In the future you can repeat this formula

1. get the zip file and unzip it
2. get into the unzipped dir
3. execute

./devel/build_install_pyradio
