XP Mechanics: Levels vs Points 📐

Minecraft XP is not linear. Moving from level 0 to 1 costs 7 points, but moving from level 30 to 31 costs 107 points.

How XPTweak handles this:

When you store XP using /xptc, the plugin calculates the Total Points required for those levels and stores them inside the bottle's NBT data.

  • Precision: If you are Level 0 and use a 30-level bottle, you will reach Level 30 exactly.
  • Balance: If you are Level 100 and use a 30-level bottle, you will gain the same amount of points, but your level will only increase slightly. This prevents "XP Inflation" and keeps the server economy fair.

Important

Vanilla bottles (/xpt max) use random values (3-11 points) as per Minecraft standards. For 100% precision, always use Custom Bottles (/xptc).
