If xid is passed as GET param, I cannot vote or send comments

I wanted to make a polis discussion with our turnverein members (gymnastics club). I wanted to send every member a link with the xid integrated and tell them to only start with this link. Hopefully they will use the link on all the different devices they own and votes don't get duplicated.

But I fail to participate if I start the url with xid directly.

If i open a new private tab and open https://pol.is/9xacvmwpzh?xid=9b0b682f-3879-4e80-a4e2-aaa52b25c20b

On submit of a vote, I get the following error message:

If I submit a new comment, it seems to work, but there is nothing added to the comment list.

It works if I first start the page without the xid parameter and then open the url with the xid.
