Concerto 3.0 RC3 improves how content fits on screens and adds a new content type among other fixes. Our hope is that this is the final release candidate before a stable 3.0.0 version of Concerto is released. Thanks for all the bugs and feature requests, keep the feedback coming!

Highlights include:

• Smarter Content Display: Content (text, graphics, and video) is now evaluated per-position on screens and placed on the field it fits best, with graphics judged on shape rather than a fixed size window and text wrapping accounted for more accurately.
• Iframe Content: You can now embed external web content directly on a screen as its own content type.
• Field Management: System admins can create additional Fields from the admin UI, so positions that previously had to share a field (and duplicate content) can each get their own content channel.
• Legacy Browser Support for players: The frontend player now supports screens running older WebOS/Chrome version (Chrome 53–104).
• Search: Search now indexes all content, not just approved submissions.
• Template Editor: Positions can be fine-tuned with typed coordinates and side handles.

🛠️ Bug Fixes & Refinements

• OIDC Sign-in: Fixed a CookieOverflow error during SSO sign-in, and provisioning failures now surface instead of failing silently.
• Player Reliability: The player retries fetching content when a field returns empty, instead of getting stuck stale.
• Video Playback: Video now fills its position correctly on non-Blink browsers.
• Content: Added an optional locale setting to Clock content; fixed Position#aspect_ratio to account for a template's real canvas shape.

Breaking Changes

None. This release includes one data migration (reindexing existing content for search) but no schema or API changes that require action.
