ctr images import : no descriptor found for reference object

when i use the command "ctr images import xxx/calico-node:v1.1.3 XXX_calico-node.tar" ,i got the error "ctr: no descriptor found for reference object "v1.1.3""
is this a bug for containerd or my error ?

I guess this is because your index.json does not contain v1.1.3 reference.
You might need to specify --ref-object sha256:deadbeef.. in such a case.

Are you using cri-containerd? If yes, you may want to use cri-containerd load instead.

Note：wo should use the command "ctr --namespace k8s.io images ls" to get images.

So, you were trying to import a Docker image rather than an OCI image?

It is not supported in ctr images import now. (PR: #1602)

If the archive content is conformant to https://github.com/opencontainers/image-spec , the archive is an OCI image.
Otherwise it is likely a Docker v1 image.
