The new Coolify UI is now rolling out to everyone with Coolify v4.3.0! 🎉

We’d love to hear what you think about the new design and overall experience.

This discussion is the place to share your feedback, report UI-related bugs, suggest improvements, or discuss anything related to the new UI.

What you can share

• Bugs: Something looks broken or doesn’t behave as expected.
• Suggestions: Ideas that could make the UI better or easier to use.
• Design feedback: Thoughts on the layout, navigation, colors, spacing, components, or visual design.

I feel like the new UI feels generic, less refined, a little bit unfinished and less intuitive.

Using Chrome / Firefox latest and v4.3.0

I do think that most of it is polish and habituation.
Tutorials from before the change now are confusing, and my muscle memory needs re-building.

I do believe that for the long term, the change was a good thing

Wording difference in "Healthcheck"

Great changes, definitely a big step-up. I have 2 minor annoyances with the new UI.

One is the page size limit is set to 10 and does not immediately appear to be adjustable and I really want to avoid having to name my services 1, 2, 3, 4 to make sure the ones I care about the most are visible at all times. The below example is from a list of applications/services in a project.

A lot of the description/caption texts are really hard to read because they are both faded and comically small, so if you are not using a high DPI screen in a dim lit room those texts are almost ineligible and/or takes quite some effort to read (for me at least). I've provided an example of where I've noticed it in a few places (coolify version, field placeholder). I think it is especially problematic in dark mode where almost everything blends together with all the subtle gray colors.

With all things new it will take some time to adjust. But I think I'll have to increase the font size a bit for now 😅

But using the included custom color scheme the issue can also be mitigated nicely by just raising everything a little bit (probably because it changes most colors to a lighter version), so much appreciated 👍 (It keeps forgetting I've switched to a custom theme though)

btw when switching to the grid view, a default of 10 looks pretty funny to me (as there are 4 items per row on a desktop viewport and the last one therefore only containing two, suggesting there would be no more resources in the project)

I like the new UI A L O T, it feels way more functional and I have most of the information I'm looking for quicker than before.
So thanks a lot for your work !

The only real drawback that I find, is on the resource screen, the fact that we have all resources gathered in a single paginated grid/table now, make it less easy to access a particular resource. I've seen the filter button, but it feels more tedious.

Plus with a more "faded" and small UI it's a bit tougher to differentiate the resources. The icons associated with each resource being the type of the resource is a bit redundant, while the app's icon would make it easier to differentiate everything.

Really great new UI, loving it!

• It would be nice to be able to change the font-size and/or just increase the default font-sizes. In many places, texts are 11px it's like very small. 13px min would be better. Overall 1 or 2 px bigger for every font would be QOL.
• It might be missing some touches of colors here and there to highlight some actions, maybe links, buttons, arrow etc but that's just a feeling.

For me, changing the Appearance to "Custom" always requires choosing a new custom color. I cannot just click "Custom" and it directly switches to the previous custom color.

One thing would be appreciated: A configurable pagination in the resources overview would be great. 10 items is a bit low, tbh.

I love the new design! I keep adding a "domain" as a description, would love if Coolify could auto-detect them and auto-link them, or link them somehow, so I could go straight to the domain from this screen:

Personally, I was not expecting an UI change to this level in a Minor Version upgrade, this will definitely require some 're-learning' and getting used to...I thought this was going to wait till v5.0.0 or something.
Right, now it is a bit of a change/challenge and particularly if the documentation, tutorials and videos are not updated with what has changed, there will be pretty big learning curve...to change.
I am quite comfortable for the most 'common' or standard parts but having changed the fields/documentation and other aspects for the previous or existing features is something that I will need to get used to.
I will share my specific reviews/inputs or questions...but just wanted to share my general first impression and thoughts.

Awesome, so much nicer and easier to navigate then before imho!

Here are some nitpicks i've noticed:

• Project overview: only some services seem to have a domain associated, it's confusing why. maybe it should be more clear to the user how to select which "the" domain for a resource is supposed to be?
• Project overview: pagination too easy to miss ("where are my resources?!"). a higher default or a setting would be nice to be able to set something way higher then 10 (please!)
• Project overview: Texts are pretty small and hard to read (eg. descriptions)
• service single view: "compose resources" table view doesn't immediately display configured domains, although there is space left in the table ("exmaple.com:80, ..." with hover for full list and clickable?)
• service single view: Network-selection very prominent, but i would think this is barely used (maybe it is tho). maybe there's something else more important and this could be an afterthought?
• service single view: Domain-tab: it recommends adding the configured domain for a service with www. as well (eg for a suburl that serves an api), which seems like an odd default, especially because the already configured domain for the services is (automatically and very unintentionally) already set to Allow www & non-www (which is hopefully the setting for: "don't do anything")
• log view: it would be so nice to make the textarea resizeable, eg. if you happen to watch the log on an vertical display
• log view: it seems that the logs are not automatically scrolled to the last line on load, but stay at the top of the logfile. following does not work either.

overall this is a very nice restructuring and redesign! thank you for your great work!

For me, a browser zoom of 125% makes the new design look even better and makes it all so much more readable. Just one datapoint if you reconsider the (font) sizing :)

When using a custom color (very nice feature!!) the contrast on some widgets can become too low ("Search resources")
