Very large diffs outputted by patch tool to OpenCode UI

What happened?

Previously, the patch tool did not output diffs to OpenCode, now it does on plugin v0.15.3.

There isn't anything inherently wrong with diffs, but the diffs this plugin outputs are incredibly large even if the patch is relatively localized and small.

It seems to output everything below the change as a diff.

I like diffs, but this is too excessive especially if the file has 2k+ lines. If this isn't fixable can there be an option to not output diffs?

I'll be rolling back to v0.15.1 in the meantime.

Fixed in v0.15.5 — published just now to npm + crates.io.

The diffs you saw weren't actually from a localized patch being expanded — the unified-diff helper had a naive line-by-line index comparison that emitted everything below the first changed line. A 1-line insertion near the top of a 2000-line file produced ~1996 lines of "diff". This was a regression introduced in v0.15.3 when apply_patch started enriching metadata to fix the "no diff in TUI/desktop" issue.

v0.15.5 replaces it with a proper LCS-based diff that matches GNU diff -u layout — same single-line insertion now produces a localized hunk under 20 lines.

Update with bunx --bun @cortexkit/aft@latest setup or just bump your plugin pin. Closing as fixed; please reopen if you still see oversized diffs after upgrading.
