example/minimal Failed to create IO instance: Failed to open shared object

I built the libcouchbase in mac, while the example/minimal returned the above error.
P.S. minimal is built using
gcc -I/usr/local/include -L/usr/local/lib -lcouchbase -o minimal minimal.c

I built with ./configure --enable-plugins which seems to be the reason. It's OK if don't enable plugins.
