Issue type
Feature not working as intended
Device
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 (clover)
crDroid version
crDroid 12
Exact version / Build date
12.10/2026-05-22
Bug description
Autobrightness appears to adjust based on extremes now. For example, when I stand between the tablet and a light source (casting a shadow), the tablet adjusts the brightness to the absolute lowest. Likewise, if I expose it to direct light, it adjusts to maximum brightness.
In previous build (v12.10, 2026-05-12), autobrightness behaved correctly.
Steps to reproduce
- Turn on autobrightness
- Cast a shadow (aka, stand betwteen tablet and light source)
OR
- Have the tablet be exposed to a light source (doesn't have to be direct)
- Pull down status bar
Depending on which step was taken (2 or 3), the tablet will either:
2: lower brightness to absolute minimum
3: increase brightness to absolute maximum
