Update formatting & style and add python dependencies

Description

Update formatting & style:

• isort changes applied
• black changes applied
• flake8 identified issues resolved or silenced

These changes are a little heavier than I'd like because they include updates to allow testing of the scripts from pipenv:

• Add missing dependencies
• Improve path logic
