not working mouse scroll

Hi!
I use this program for SSH connections, but it's really frustrating that I can't scroll with the mouse within the connection window. For example, I have to scroll through logs using the pgdown buttons instead of the mouse. I also can't select text in Midnight Commander when it's open on the server. To select and copy, I have to press Shift and select the text with the mouse, but this doesn't work in mremotenxt.

Both fixed in v0.7.6-alpha — and they turned out to be two separate bugs, not one.

The wheel. mc, less and vim run on the terminal's alternate screen, which by
definition has no scrollback. The wheel was scrolling a buffer that doesn't exist there, so
it did nothing at all and Page Down was the only way through a file — exactly what you
described. On the alternate screen the wheel now sends cursor keys, which is what those
programs expect (and it honours application-cursor mode, so the encoding is right). In an
ordinary shell it still scrolls the scrollback as before.

Selection in Midnight Commander. mc turns on mouse reporting, and every click was being
forwarded to it with no exception — so the mouse could only ever drive mc, and there was no
way to select text locally. Holding Shift now suspends mouse reporting for the duration
of that drag, which is the conventional escape hatch in a terminal. Shift-drag to select,
release, and the selection is on your clipboard (selection is copied automatically,
PuTTY-style).

While in there: pasting multi-line text into a terminal was mangling it (newlines went out
as LF, which nano reads as its Justify command) — fixed in v0.7.4 — and the scrollback is
now configurable in Settings, defaulting to 10 000 lines instead of the old fixed 500.

Thanks for the report. If the wheel still misbehaves in some program, say which one and
what it does — the alternate-screen distinction means different programs can fail
differently.
