Agile is a is a complimentary methodology to Lean

Lean identified that the economies of flow can sometimes exceed the economies of scale. Agile methods are one way to encourage a consistent and high flow.

The side effect of an effective Agile method is that activities in the development value stream are short and valuable.

  • Features are valuable and delivered frequently
  • External dependencies are minimised
  • Stories are small and prioritised
  • Code is flexible and mostly bug free
  • Meetings are short and worthwhile
  • The team dedicate time to improving their process
